INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY & TIME SAVINGS IN AC APPLICATION

CHALLENGE

A company refurbishes air conditioning units from aftermarket re-sellers. For safety reasons, the customer was bolting this unit into the fixture with fasteners. This was a time consuming process that resulted in a slow cycle time due to the high volume of tests being performed by the customer.

SOLUTION

The holding device was redesigned with an off-the-shelf 341-R toggle clamp.

RESULTS

After switching to a 341-R toggle clamp on the test fixtures, there was a 50% time savings and increased productivity. The air conditioning units are now run through multiple tests after the rebuild using the new components.
